Master academic studies

Study program: Applied arts
Module: Scenography

The aim is to enable students to independently design and create complex stage, film or television scenery. By learning about the possibilities and characteristics of different sceneries the students develop a sense of dimensions, relationship between the scenic elements and scenic adjustments. By getting to know all the elements of the scenography the students develop analytical and creative way of thinking, which is a prerequisite for creating solutions that are not only a space for performance but also enable the scenography to be an active part of the spectacle by visually interpreting the underlining idea of the piece. Defining the scenographic image in which the people and the objects inevitably change their meaning just by appearing on it.

The final exam implies a project in the field of stage, film or television scenography, ready for realisation.
