Library

Library of the Faculty of Applied Arts is an academic support service organisational
sub unit that collects, stores and lends library material that is a subject of study at the Faculty. Library collections cover all areas of the curriculum, and include, beside professional periodics, referential publications, publications of general civilizational and cultural character.

The Library represents an informational base for education and research in the field of Applied Arts in general. It is a depository library for publications on all media issued by the Faculty, and it performs all tasks prescribed by the Law on Librarianship. By forming an electronic catalogue, the Library was included in the project Virtual Library of Serbia through COBISS library program which made it an integral part of the library information system of universities and libraries in Serbia.

The library developed from the library collection of the former School for Applied Arts, which in 1948 stored 420 titles, and today owns roughly 22,000 items, out of which there are over 9,000 monographies, while the rest are periodical publications. Numerous exhibition catalogues hold a special value, and since the establishment of magisterial studies in 1974, the Library stored every magisterial thesis defended at the Faculty, doctoral dissertations in the fields of Applied Arts, as well as  a significant number of slides and other non-literary material.

Library users are primarily students and  professors of the Faculty, as well as students and pupils from other faculties and schools across the country, cultural workers, visual artists, researchers, experts, theater, film and television creators.
