The Faculty of Applied Arts at the University of Arts in Belgrade is accredited for three study programs at the level of master academic studies:

Master studies at FAA last for one academic year (2 semesters) and are worth 60 ECTS.

The purpose of the program is to create a contemporary, creative, artistically and technically educated, responsible, professionally specialized person, qualified and competent for creative and artistic work in the field of applied arts. Furthermore, the purpose of the program is the acquisition of competencies for educational work in the field of art education in primary, secondary and vocational art schools.

Upon successful completion of the study program student is awarded with the title: Master of Applied Arts, Master of Graphic Design or Master of Conservation and Restauration.

Applicants for enrolment at the first academic year are subject to the following criteria:

  • • to have completed the appropriate undergraduate academic studies in the fields of art,
       architecture or design, achieving at least 240 ECTS credits;
  • • to have completed undergraduate studies in the field of art, architecture or design,
       according to the regulations in force previous to the Law on Higher Education.

An applicant is obliged to submit the required documentation and portfolio (artwork in the domain of interest) that prove the candidate's aptitude for the degree program or module for which he/she applies.

Along with the entrance exam application all candidates are asked to submit certified copies of the following documents:

  • • Diploma or certificate of completion of previous studies
    • Certificate of passed exams or an appendix to diploma
    • A copy of the birth certificate
    • Biography (basic data and information concerning education)
    • Certificate of citizenship (for foreign citizens)
    • A decision on the recognition of foreign higher education document for candidates who
       have previously completed studies abroad
    • Proof of paid fee for the entrance exam

All applicants take an entrance exam.

The ranking of candidates at the entrance exam will be determined on the basis of the general average grade achieved during previous studies and the results achieved at the entrance exam.

A candidate can achieve a maximum of 100 points, as follows:

  • • a maximum of 30 points for previously completed studies and
    • a maximum of 70 points at the entrance exam.

Entrance exam Program

The entrance examination is carried out based on an interview with the candidate
followed by a review of the submitted documents and artwork.

A foreign citizen or a citizen of the Republic of Serbia who has previously finished education abroad is obliged to submit a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education document, required for admission to the appropriate level of study.
